Mohamed Melehi
A central figure of the Casablanca School, Mohamed Melehi (1936–2020) imposed an instantly recognizable abstract vocabulary: the wave, an undulating motif in vibrant colours that became the signature of a solar Moroccan modernity. A painter, photographer and cultural facilitator, he co-founded the Asilah cultural festival and worked throughout his life to bring art, design and public space into dialogue.
