Mahi Binebine
Born in Marrakech in 1959, Mahi Binebine is a painter and novelist. After years in Paris and New York, he returned to Morocco and set up his studio in Marrakech. His figures, modelled in wax and pigment, speak of human fragility, exile and the dignity of bodies. A dense, internationally recognized body of work in which literature and painting answer one another.
